Well, friends and fellow comic book lovers, the time has almost come. 3 weeks from now we are finally going to see Batman v Superman. It is a movie that many of us have waited a very long time for and it is actually happening.

This week has been a flood of new info as the marketing for the movie has been kicked into overdrive. We are going to  go over everything that has been announced since Monday.

Batman taunting Superman…awesome.

Ticket Sales & Predictions:

Batman v Superman tickets went on sale Monday. The first tracking sales have come in and although overall sales have yet to be reported, it’s looking like good news for Warner Bros. We are being told that advanced ticket sales is on par with The Dark Knight Rises, which we know raked in about $25 million before it even opened. Last weeks estimated projection of $100-140 million is on the conservative side and experts are now suggesting that the domestic haul could go as high as $180 million.

*We got our tickets for the Thursday Early Screening at 6:00 pm*

According to Deadline,  the film is being tracked by industry experts to pull in between $300 million and $340 million on its opening weekend. This would place it fifth in terms of global superhero debuts, behind the two Avengers movies, Spider-Man 3, and Iron Man 3. The movie will open across the world simultaneously, including in the increasingly important Chinese market.

We can also report that all 1,000 Regal Cinema Ultimate Tickets sold out in one day.

We won’t know for certain until the first numbers start to roll in and reviews come out though.

Speaking of reviews...

Entertainment Weekly has a new issue on sale today and it features some nice tidbits.

Writer Anthony Breznican was able to get an early look at Batman v Superman and here’s what he had to say:

I gotta go write, but last things I’ll say about seeing. (Personally, I was happy.)

So here it is. The first real, verified viewing of Batman v Superman and it’s pretty much what analysts have expected – fans of Man of Steel will probably be happy, some of that film’s problems are directly addressed, and Wonder Woman is awesome.

Batman’s foot on Superman’s throat. All we have to say is this…

“I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come, in your most private moments… I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you!”   -The Dark Knight Returns

Green Lantern:

When can fans expect to see Green Lantern in the DCEU? Well, even Warner Bros. isn’t sure, but probably not until Justice League: Part Two at the earliest, according to producer Charles Roven.

Every beat of the movie is not yet worked out. So there’s the possibility that he may or may not be in Justice League 2,” Roven says. “For now, we felt that we were introducing enough characters that the best possible place we could put Green Lantern is some introduction in Justice League 2, or barring that, a movieafter.”

We still think the ‘Drone Pilot’ in BvS is Hal Jordan. We’re calling it right now.

Jena Malone Cut?

Rumors have run rampant about Jena Malone every since the news that she had been cast in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Her newly dyed red hair sparked Robin rumors, and she was even rumored to be playing Barbara Gordon(which we are still thinking she will be playing, although as Oracle). Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to know for sure because Malone’s scenes have been cut from the theatrical release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Fans will be able to see Malone’s scenes in the R-rated “Ultimate Edition” Blu-ray of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when it’s released this summer. Entertainment Weekly says that it features even more brutal fight scenes as well as additional hints at future films.

Perhaps The Killing Joke end credit scene?

Wonder Woman:

A new synopsis for Wonder Woman was revealed with Batman v Superman merchandise.

“The world’s first and foremost female Super Hero, Wonder Woman at once embodies the unrivaled force and supreme grace of a born warrior, and the genuine compassion and understanding of a true humanitarian. As a symbol of equality, power, and truth, her natural confidence and unmistakable intelligence make her an unequaled, if unexpected, ally. The immortal Amazonian Princess Diana keeps her eyes and ears open for intrigue as the beautiful and mysterious antiquities dealer, Diana Prince.”

Last, but not least..

The Flash.

We now might have more info on how The Flash comes into play in the new DC film universe, and it looks like it had to do with Batman.

Or is it just in Batman’s nightmares?

We’ve seen a few images of these in the trailers, as well as released images, but Entertainment Weekly sheds some insight on them for us.Clark and Bruce apparently have various dream sequences throughout the film, but if they are just dreams, or visions, or hallucinations is uncertain. The Flash eventually appears to Bruce during one of these nightmares, and Zack Snyder has big hopes for this scene.

“Fans will have to debate whether it was really a dream, or maybe the kinetic hero breaking through time-space to deliver a warning. Synder calls this “a giant Easter egg” that he hopes will spawn plenty of online theories. We had such a straightforward narrative, on one hand, I wanted this other layer of the movie to be complicated and bizarre,” he says.

Final Crisis?

That’s all for now. It is definitely a lot to take in and we are anxiously counting the days until it comes out…no, really, we have a countdown of days going on the kitchen chalkboard.
