It looks like the next season of Arrow we are going to get another vigilante! DC vigilante “Wild Dog” will apparently make things difficult for Oliver Queen, with Rick Gonzalez recently cast as the new member of Arrow.
On the show, Wild Dog is a new vigilante in Star City whose reckless and cocky attitude prompts Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) to take him under his wing.
So who is Wild Dog?
Jack Wheeler went to college on a football scholarship. He dropped out due to an injury and spent some time in the Marines. He quit that after most of his squad was killed by a terrorist bomb. He returned to the Quad Cities and began taking night classes. His new girlfriend was targeted and slain by hitmen as she was secretly the daughter of a Chicago crime boss.
Armed with a gun and a pair of electrified “shock gloves”, his costume consists of camouflage pants, combat boots, a local college football jersey emblazoned with a snarling red dog (hiding his protective body armor), and a hockey mask to conceal his identity.
He is named “Wild Dog” after the SWAT captain orders his men to shoot the vigilante “like a wild dog in the street”.
Other than that, he is kind of a nobody, but we do like the idea of pairing up another vigilante with Oliver and we actually are looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.
