Samuel L. Jackson May Have Dropped a Huge Bomb

Did Samuel L. Jackson just drop a major spoiler?

In a recent interview, Jackson explains why he won’t be making an appearance as Nick Fury in Black Panther. Out of nowhere though, he appears to utter a name that we haven’t heard since Captain America: The First Avenger.

Yes, we are talking about The Red Skull, who last we saw, had vanished when he attempted to wield the Tesseract. Rek was always convinced that he was alive somewhere and could he be part of Marvel’s phase 3?

Here is what Jackson said, or started to say…

“You didn’t see me in [Captain America:] Civil War,” Jackson said. “I’m still out there trying to figure out what The Skull is going to…”

Now, other sites seem to think that The Red Skull might make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, but that doesn’t really make any sense. They already have Thanos as the villain. Throwing in The Red Skull would be like throwing The Joker into the mix with Darkseid. There’s just no need, but as a mid-credit scene in Avengers: Infinity War, now that makes sense.

This news prompted Seppin to have a minor freak out and of course, you know he has a theory…

Seppin’s Take:

Well, since they changed the name of Part 2 to Marvel’s Assemble, this could mean that it has nothing to do with Avengers: Infinity War. It could take place right after, but maybe after it is resolved, and Nick Fury tells them that there is an even greater threat. And then we get the original Red Skull Invasion that every Marvel fan has been waiting for since Captain America: The First Avenger. This could be a small reference towards the Man on The Wall in which one of Earth’s strongest heroes to guard the planet. In the comics, Nick Fury was the Man on the Wall, and he is usually protecting the world on his own unless he needs the help of the Avengers.
