Shut the front door…The Dark Crystal Prequel is coming to Netflix!

In news that made MSR become all excited, the weird and beloved movie from the genius puppeteer Jim Henson is coming to Netflix.

According to the announcement, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance returns to the world of Thra with an all-new adventure. When three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.”

The series will be directed by Louis Leterrier, whose credits include Now You See Me and The Incredible Hulk. He will also serve as executive producer, alongside Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford. The writing will be led by co-executive producers Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (Life in a Year), and Javier Grillo-Marxuach (Lost, The 100).
