Far Cry 5 & Assassins Creed News

Ubisoft has released the cover for Far Cry 5 revealing some of the characters that will be featured in its upcoming open-world shooter. The cover art has a very Leonardo Da Vinci Last Supper vibe and some are already speculating on the theme of the game.

Ubisoft confirmed that the game will be set in Hope County, Montana and that the game will be out during their ‘fiscal year’ which ends on March 31, 2018…so, it could be a bit, but we’re assuming by the end of the year. Ubisoft will be showing off the game on May 26 at 6 AM PT on its YouTube channel if you want more info.

Assassins Creed

Ubisoft has confirmed a new Assassin’s Creed game will also be out during the current fiscal year.

The news was shared as part of Ubisoft’s earnings report and the company shared a GIF on Twitter with the game’s logo and the words “a new era begins.”

There have been many rumors about this game and the biggest one being the title, Assassins Creed: Origins which seems to suggest that they are trying to reboot the franchise. A leaked screen image also offers a few clues into the game.

The alleged leaked Assassin's Creed: Origins image

It featured a bow-wielding character on a boat, sailing into a port city, which many believe is in Egypt. Here is what CEO Yves Guillemot had to say:

“Since the release of Assassins Creed Unity, we’ve learned a lot based on your feedback,” said Guillemot. “We’ve also updated our development processes and recommitted to making Assassin’s Creed a premier open-world franchise.

We’re taking [2016] to evolve the game mechanics and to make sure we’re delivering on the promise of Assassin’s Creed offering unique and memorable gameplay experiences that make history everyone’s playground.”

All we know is that we are praying this comes out sooner rather than later because Rek is becoming quite difficult without his Assassins Creed fix.
