Seppin Reviews: DCeased 4

Welcome back! Today we will be reviewing DCeased #4 which is written by Tom Taylor and features art from Trevor Hairsine

~~Review~~

DCeased is this really cool alternate universe, which is written by Tom Taylor, who wrote Injustice. It is a world where the anti-life equation has pretty much turned everyone into zombies. Which reminds me of Final Crisis when Grant Morrison came up with that concept and it reads really well. It feels like DC’s very own Marvel Zombies, but with their superheroes. I really love this story and the concept and I enjoy how Tom Taylor writes a dark DC Universe.

This issue was really awesome because it feels like they have a chance at winning this. It feels like Superman and the heroes can save the world. I really like the inclusion of the Flashes and I also really like Alfred giving Damian the bat suit. Killing Batman at the beginning was a bold move, but it also shows just how dangerous this virus is to the world. However, my only issue with this book was the ending because I just don’t know what they are going to do. It ends with pretty much every character getting nuked from Captain Atom’s explosion. Which is a bit of a plot hole because his explosion has never been that powerful before. He’s never taken out the whole eastern seaboard before. That’s a little ridiculous, but overall the whole story is really great and I am excited to see what happens from here.

Overall, this was a great book and surprised me by its intricate storytelling and gritty artwork.
