Hey everyone! Gamescom gave us a new look and knowledge about several games that are coming soon. One of those games is a new Marvel game titles, Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
No, they did not spell Suns wrong in the title, it was an actual decision for the games lore to make it Midnight Suns instead of Midnight Sons which is how the team was spelled in the comics.
However, it is not surprising if you were unaware of this obscure Marvel team because they are relatively unknown. All that you need to know is that they were a grounded defenders-like team that dealt with mystical threats within the Marvel Universe.

So, what do we know about this game?
Well it is a tactical RPG made by Firaxis, specifically the same team that made the recent X-COM games. We know that it will have turn based combat like the X-COM games, but they have totally revamped the system so that you feel like a true superhero taking on the demonic hoards.
Before combat you will decide on who will be on the team, specifically you will be sending in teams of three into the combat zone. In between missions you will be put into a third person perspective and given the opportunity to interact with the characters. Doing so will help improve them and their skills for future combat scenarios.
This is really cool, I like that you get to build relationships in this game to beef up your team and get special abilities.
So, who is in this game?
There will be a total of 13 allied heroes on launch. We know from the trailer that Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Blade, Nico Minoru, Magik, Robbie Reyes’ Ghost Rider, and Wolverine will all be in the game as well as a character simply called Hunter who will be a customizable character for the player to make in the game. So we have ten confirmed characters so far. I can’t wait to see who else will be coming to this game in the future!
The game is set to come out March 2022.
