Hey everyone! It’s been a bit of a busy weekend for Seppin and Rek, so we haven’t had much of a chance to put out the news that Marvel just confirmed that Shawn Levy will be the one to direct Deadpool 3. Levy has recently worked with Ryan Reynolds in his previous films, Free Guy and The Adam Project. Awesome to receive new updates on a film that has since been stalled after the reacquisition of Marvel properties from Fox to Disney.
In more speculative news, director Shawn Levy stated in a recent interview with Comicbook.com that he wishes to bring Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine together.
“I’m not going to say where and how, but I absolutely will confirm my intention and determination to be the lucky son of a ***** who puts those two magnificent gods in the same movie together. That will happen and that will be me.”
Please make this a thing. The closest we got to seeing them together was the Deadpool 2 post credits scene where Deadpool kills the version of Wade Wilson from X-Men Origins: Wolverine and waves to a younger Hugh Jackman from the 2009 film.
