Our Top Five Tuesday will focus on those that are our favorite to take up the mantle of the Batman Cowl.
5. Jason Todd
Sorry J. Rek wouldn’t let me put you any higher on the list. Mostly because you crucified someone.
We saw Jason Todd pick up the Batman mantle in the comic ‘Battle of The Cowl‘. The story focused on all the Robin’s battling it out when Bruce Wayne ‘died’.
Jason was a little bit harsh, but he was getting the job done.
Rek: A little harsh?
4. Tim Drake
Tim made the list mostly because he is everyone’s favorite Robin. As far as being the Batman though, Jason nearly killed him because Tim Drake tried to stop him after his vicious run as Batman. Unfortunately, Tim got wrecked, but we think he looks pretty awesome in the suit.
Rek: Isn’t he a little short to be a storm trooper…I mean, Batman?
3. Dick Grayson
The golden child. The first Robin as Batman.
Dick Grayson originally did not want to be Batman because he hates Batman, but he ended up winning the sought after cowl from Jason. He then chose Damian to be his Robin. His run as the Dark Knight was good, but people still cried out for Bruce Wayne though.
2. Superman
Yes, this really did happen. We just find it amusing that Superman wore the Batman suit.
Basically, during the Batman/ Superman 55 comic, the two superheroes switched their powers through some random comic occurrence and Supes became an ordinary man. The funny part was the fact that it took the JLA to stop Bruce Wayne from trying to save EVERYONE. He was going a little bit crazy as well.
Rek: Superbat? That suit does not fit him at all.
1. Bruce Wayne
Is there anyone better than Bruce Wayne?
Nope. He is the Batman.
Dishonorable Mention
James ‘Bunny Bat’ Gordon
Okay. He’s not that bad, but he’s no Batman.
What is up with the ears?
So, Batman dies, Gordon took over, but what really occurred is that Scott Snyder stopped writing the comic ( even though he was heading in the Jim Gordon/Batman direction) and left expecting someone to do a good job and this is what we got.
