Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them News

There is still so much we don’t know about J. K. Rowlings Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, but we did receive a nice featurette not to long ago.

It is a nice little glimpse and more importantly we have now learned that a Muggle-or the American term, No-Mag- will play an important role helping Newt Scamander.

 

Synopsis:

The story takes place in 1920’s New York City, and follows the exploits of British zoologist and wizard Newt Scamander (Redmayne). After a plethora of magical animals escape from his bewitched briefcase, he is forced to team up with witches Porpetina Goldstein (Waterston) and her sister Queenie (Sudol), as well as No-Mag – the newly coined American slang term for “Muggle” – Jacob Kowalski (Fogler), to rectify the situation.

 

Tidbits:

-Newt belonged to the House of Hufflepuff

-It’s going to be a trilogy

-J.K. Rowling tweeted this confirmation:

You heard wrong, I’m afraid. #CursedChild is a play. #FantasticBeasts will be 3 movies, though!

-Dumbledore & Company?

A recent issue of Entertainment Weekly teased that a line of dialogue in Fantastic Beasts will reference Albus Dumbledore, though there is no mention of the character actually appearing in the film. The same story cites producer David Heyman as saying that, should the trilogy continue on as planned, we shouldn’t be surprised to see some familiar faces.
