Commissioner Gordon in JL Part 1 ?!

Good evening, commissioner….

The Justice League has found its Commissioner Gordon.

Oscar winner J.K. Simmons has been cast as the Gotham City police commissioner. You may remember his iconic role as J.J. Jameson in Spiderman I, II, and III.

Yes, it is true. Sorry Spiderman fans, but we will never witness J.K. Simmons as the newspaper mogul ever again.

But, we here at SeppinRek are very pleased to see this casting. Not only is J.K. Simmons an Oscar winning actor, but we are going to see more of Gotham in Justice League.

Now how does he fit into the Justice League film and story line you may ask? Let’s ask our own Batman expert.

Seppin: Looks like we’re going to Gotham and Jim needs to talk to his old friend Bruce as strange occurrences start happening. This is also awesome news because more than likely we are going to get Gordon in the solo Batman film. Apparently all those rumors of Commissioner Gordon being dead in Batman v Superman has been proved wrong.

He is going to have to live up to Gary Oldman’s portrayal, but on the whole he is a good actor and I think he’ll do well.

What might have been…

The only problem I have with this is I was kind of hoping for a Bryan Cranston/ Commissioner Gordon casting, but I’m good. Who knows maybe Bryan Cranston will appear as a villain? Like maybe Mr. Freeze…Just throwing it out there. No hate mail please. I totally didn’t just pull his name out of the hat of Batman villains.

Now, the question is, who is going to be our Detective Bullock?

I vote for John Goodman!
