DC fans blew up the internet on Friday afternoon when news hit that Billy Crudup is in talks to join The Flash movie as Barry Allen’s dad, Henry Allen.

The interesting twist in all of this, besides the fact that he played Doctor Manhattan in Watchmen, is that in 2015 during a MTV interview, Crudup was standing next to Ezra Miller.
When Miller is asked about his recently revealed Flash casting, Crudup doesn’t take too long to chime in with a simple request.
“More importantly, is there a part for like, let’s say a guy who plays mid to late forties.”
When interviewer Josh Horowitz brought up the possibility of Dr. Manhattan showing up, Crudup replied “No he died, he’s done (laughter)” so that doesn’t look like its happening anytime soon.”
All we have to say is this…Like father, like son.
