Details of the Batman solo movie have been like a bit of the cat and mouse game. First we hear the script is far from finished and then we received a huge teaser that Deathstroke was going to be in the movie. A few weeks ago Ben Affleck shrugged in an interview and said the title was simply going to be ‘The Batman’ but then he seemed to shy away from that announcement.
Is the script done or is it still being worked on? Geoff Johns confirmed the Deathstroke announcement and then we hear the movie is about a year and a half away, but it was never clarified if they were going to start shooting in 18 months or if we were going to actually get a movie in that time.
Well, according to Joe Manganiello, who spoke to Entertainment Tonight over the weekend, shooting is going to start sooner than we thought. Manganiello said that he was going to start filming on the solo Batman film in the spring.
If production on the film begins then, that means we can likely expect the movie to open late 2018 or early-to-mid-2019. Seppin has said since two untitled movie were announced, that October 5, 2018 was the date and that’s what we are going to assume as of right now.
So, let’s try to wrap our heads around this…
Wonder Woman: June 2, 1017
Justice League: November 17, 2017
The Flash: March 16, 2018
Aquaman: July 27, 2018
The Batman: October 5, 2018
Are you kidding me? Is this really happening?
