Tom Hardy as Venom?!

In the, okay when did this happen and how come no one caught a whiff of it news, Tom Hardy has signed on to play Venom for Sony!

Yes, Seppin’s favorite actor, Tom Hardy is in final negotiations for the title role, while Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer is nearing a deal to direct. Production is set to begin this fall and the film is targeted for release on Oct. 5, 2018.

Sony pictures sent out this tweet:

Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner wrote the script for Venom, which will star Hardy as Eddie Brock, the disgraced journalist who becomes host to the alien Symbiote after it’s rejected by Peter Parker.

2018 is looking to be a heck of a year for comic book movies!
