Welcome back, sorry that I have missed a few, but we are back to reviewing comics every day! Today, Seppin is going to be reviewing Asgardians of the Galaxy #1 written by Cullen Bunn and art by Matteo Lolli.
~~Review~~
Asgardians of the Galaxy is a tie-in for Infinity Wars and takes place in an alternate universe.
I thought that I had to put that warning at the top so that people understand what I am talking about. Otherwise, you would all assume that this is the new Guardians of the Galaxy book that Cullen Bunn is also going to be writing next year. It is not, but it should be. I really enjoyed reading this story. It is full of nonsensical characters from Thor’s mythology and they all have their own place on this messed up team. Who’s on the team?
Well, we have Valkyrie, Angela(Thor’s sister), The Destroyer(Not for long), Skurge(The Executioner), Thunderstrike(Eric Masterson’s Son), and Throg(Thor’s Frog). This is the ultimate team. I love each character and how hilariously they work together. It reminds me a lot of the original guardian’s team, so it really works wonders in this spin-off. As for the story, It’s your standard artifact quest, but with a neat twist. You see we learn who is really leading the team and it is amazing. I won’t ruin it for you, but it’s a certain god of mischief.
Overall, it is a fun tie-in and a great story.
