Welcome back. It’s been awhile since we’ve done some reviews and we wanted to get caught up. Today, Rek is going to be reviewing Justice League Odyssey #2 written by Joshua Williamson and art by Stjepan Sejic.

~~Review~~

I really want to get into this comic. I think that the reason is mostly for Sejic’s artwork. It’s just so good! I also think that it makes sense for a group of heroes to go out and investigate beyond the outer veil after the events of No Justice. I feel like there are an infinite number of places that Williamson could go down just with the alien environments that the team will explore.

I’m still trying to make sense of why these characters (Cyborg, Azrael, Starfire, Jessica Cruz, and Darkseid) are working together. They all are pretty different from each other and I’m not sure that they meld well on the page. Maybe it’s too early to tell.

Again, the artwork really makes this book for me. I’m excited to see how this all fits in the grand scheme of things, but there needs to be some more trust established among the characters. I know it’s only issue #2 and I will take that into consideration when I make my score.
