~~Review~~

Sean Murphy, man, you are amazing. I just finished up Batman: White Knight, you can find my review here, and it was great. This is the start of his sequel and it is just as good. With Batman’s identity revealed to Gordon and the Joker not so behind bars. This story is set to explore more of this world and its characters.

This issue was amazing. It was well written and kept the same feel from the previous story. I also really enjoyed Batman in this one because it feels like we are finally seeing Batman be a little more sensible. However, we see that it is hard for him to admit that he failed. It’s a great dialogue between him and Dick and I encourage people to read it because of its a real eye-opener to Batman’s character. I am interested and excited to see what other secrets regarding the Waynes do Joker has hidden. And a new character was introduced to this world, Azreal. Yes, Jean-Paul is in this story and he is dying of cancer. I love how the Joker stokes Jean-Paul’s fire by making him a holy warrior. It is interesting and I wonder how the Joker plans on using Azreal to defeat Batman.

Overall, the book was great and I can’t wait to see how this new story plays out.
