Okoye is getting a Disney+ Spinoff?!

This seems completely random, but we are super glad to hear that it is a thing.

For those that don’t remember, Okoye is the general of the Dora Milaje or the king’s protectors in Wakanda.

This is an interesting decision because obviously everything that Marvel was planning with Wakanda has had to be reworked after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman. We know from interviews that the future of Black Panther really lies in the world of Wakanda and its not surprising to see this project announced.

We are so glad to see Danai Gurira to get her own origin story spin off. She was bad ass in the Walking Dead and she was bad ass in Black Panther. Perhaps this show will give us a look at her origin and how the Dora Milaje were formed and what it takes to be one of these fierce warriors. And if it is an origin, could we see T’Chaka make an appearance?

We don’t know but anyway that we can see more of Wakanda is awesome Disney, thank you!
