Why is Ironheart in Black Panther 2?

It was just reported that Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart is going to be introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This is interesting because this means that we will be seeing her first in the Black Panther sequel before her own Disney Plus series. This makes us ask the question, what is Ironheart doing in Black Panther 2?

Although we don’t know much about the plot of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, there seems to be a heavy focus on Legacy as the mantle will be passed onto the next Black Panther. This would tie in really well with Riri’s own future of taking the suit of armor. In the comics, Riri is super intelligent and it would be really cool to see her interact and study the technology of Wakanda. Maybe we will see her build her suit? Perhaps she could even become friends with the next Black Panther, Shuri.

In a way, it would be like the science bros (Iron Man and Dr. Banner) teaming up.

Overall, we are very excited to see what direction they take the character and how they plan to incorporate her origin into this next Black Panther film. We also can’t wait to see how it will lead into her future spin-off series on Disney Plus.
