Hey everyone! It’s been a rumor for a while now, but it was just practically confirmed by Jurnee Smollett herself yesterday that Black Canary will be returning to the DCEU in her own spinoff movie on HBO Max. After her stellar performance in Birds of Prey, we were thrilled to hear that she will continue to reprise the role in the future.
Also, it has been long rumored that Misha Green (Lovecraft Country) would enter a writing role in the film and it appears in Smollett’s message that Green will be joining her in the production. Might be interesting to see who else jumps on this project in the future…
Can’t wait to see Dinah Lance return to the big screen after the underrated Birds of Prey that came out last year. Could we also see other Birds of Prey pop up in the film? Maybe even a Green Arrow? Tell us what you all want to see in the Black Canary film in the comments below!
