Seppin Reviews: Adventures of the Super Sons #2

Welcome back, sorry that I have missed a few, but we are back to reviewing comics every day! Today, Seppin is going to be reviewing Adventures of the Super Sons #2 written by Peter J. Tomasi and art by Art Thibert and Carlo Barberi.

~~Review~~

Super Sons is a really fun book. I love the relationship between Damian and Jon. It leads to a lot of great one-liners and really funny moments. Peter Tomasi writes them both really well. The art fits them both too.

As for the story, I like it, but it’s a little hard to wrap your head around. This little legion of doom are all aliens from a planet that watches the Earth’s heroes like their a television show is very meta and crazy to think about. I do like the young Lex Luther and the younger Joker because it is just a bunch of kids trying to replicate the Earth’s mightiest villains.

In this issue, we get a lot more on the bad guys, (bad kids?), and their backstory that I explained up above. We also see that one of them is actually a good guy forced into this situation via little Lex’s plans. I like this, but that is really all that we get from this issue. Damian and Jon getaway and we are going to see a space battle between the two ships. Awesome!

Overall, it is a fun adventure that you should all give a try.
