HBo Max has given a series order for Green Lantern!
The show was announced last year and it has been in development. We now know some more details. The show will depict the adventures of multiple lanterns including, Guy Gardener, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, and Alan Scott. The series will also include favorites such as Sinestro and Kilowag.
The makers of the show are describing it a saga spanning decades and galaxies which is interesting. Something else which is also noteworthy is the absence of two of the most popular Lanterns- Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
Hal and John are rumored to to be saved for film and we can’t help but think back to a long time ago when the Green Lantern movie was announced. It was pitched as a space buddy cop movie and we are wondering if this is still the idea.
We also would like to mention the heavily rumored cameo of Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) in the Snyder Cut Justice League. We’re crossing our fingers on that one. We know, we know, The Green Lantern movie was…not the best, but we think Reynolds deserves another crack at it!
