Alright, so the word that seems to be passed around is that Tonoch Huerta is going to playing the king of Atlantis, and no I am not talking about Aquaman, but Marvel’s Namor!
It came out yesterday that Huerta will be playing the submariner in Black Panther’s sequel.
Overall, none of us are interested in Namor and actually quite hate the character, but we think that he is a great fit to diversify the character. In fact, we are excited to see him be a potential enemy of Wakanda. Hopefully we’ll get to see Atlantis flood Wakanda, which is an epic moment in the comics and created a bitter rivalry between the kingdoms.
It would be really cool if after the passing of T’challa there is a power struggle over Wakanda with other leaders like Namor trying to snatch up the kingdom and its vibranium. Now let’s get Doctor Doom and Latveria in to have incredible three way battle for Wakanda! We think this would be a great direction to go in even if it is unlikely.
