The 1989 Batman suit is back out of the cave! Many comic book fans had a good laugh with the image as it is similar to Alan Moore’s Watchmen comic whose characters were repurposed into the DC Universe in Rebirth and have since appeared in Joshua Williamson’s and Tom King’s The Button as well as Geoff Johns’ Doomsday Clock. Whether this is simply a quiet nod to the history of comics as a Watchmen reference or an even bigger hint as to the Flashpoint-like story, it’s still a brutal first look at the kind of Batman Michael Keaton will portray in the Flash film.
