Seppin’s Review for Flash Season 2 Episode 1

Hey everyone, time for me to review one of my favorite shows. The first season of Flash was amazing and I am super hyped for this new season. For those that don’t know, Flash is a DC hero who has the ability to tap into the Speed Force and run at incredible speeds. He is a founding member of the Justice league and will also be played by Ezra Miller in the movies. But let’s get back to the CW universe. WARNING Spoilers for Season One and Season Two Episode One.

So the beginning of the episode starts off five months after the Season finale for season one. Later on in the show, they do explain how the singularity was defeated. We see that Barry has decided to become more of a lone hero instead of working with his team. I mean, only Batman could possibly pull that off and he still has an array of sidekicks. We also see that he is a bit depressed that Ronnie didn’t make it out when Firestorm blew up the singularity saving Barry. Stein was the only one that came back. We also see that Cisco and Joe are hard at work in the CCPD. Iris is still grieving Eddie, who killed himself so that his great-great-great-grandson Eobard Thawne never existed, but she continues her efforts to be a reporter.

It seems that Caitlin Snow has obviously become saddened by Ronnie’s death and left to work at Mercury Labs. The death of her new husband, who she lost once again, would be a great way to make Caitlin Killer Frost. We get to have a Flash day were the Mayor will give Flash a cheesy key to the city. This was however ruined by Atom Smasher.

Atom Smasher,in my opinion, is supposed to be a hero, not a mercenary for Zoom. We see his ability to grow come in affect through out the episode which is ironic because the Atom is known to have the ability to shrink and Atom “Smasher” can grow. We also got a glimpse of Cisco’s power to see different timelines and realities come into affect when he see’s Atom Smasher making a deal with someone that precariously has some blue lightning around him. Cisco will hopefully become the hero known as Vibe this season as well.

The episode ended with Jay Garrick entering Star Labs. That was awesome, because he felt a lot like the comics. Jay Garrick is known as the Flash of Earth Two. He was used to introduce the multiverse ( multiple universes). Funny thing about Jay Garrick is that he does not use the speed force. His speed hasn’t been talked about as of yet.
Why is he important? Because he will have to train Barry in the speed force better than Dr. Wells, A.K.A. Eobard Thawn, A.K.A. The Reverse flash. We already saw the Atom Smasher and i’m assuming we will see more villains from the alternate universe.

My predictions for this season include some fairly high expectations. I really enjoy the Flash show, and I will definitely enjoy this season of it as it progresses. They told us that we will be featuring Dr. Light, the hero version, because there is also a villain that goes by that alias. She is conveniently a employee of Star Labs that gets her powers during the Crisis mentioned in the future newspaper. They also confirmed that we are getting Wally West. Most people know him as the Flash in the Justice League cartoon. Wally was Flash for a long time while Barry was “Dead”. If they are including Wally it could be to make him Kid Flash. Flash’s sidekick.  Either way I am really excited for this season because of Jay Garrick.
