Batgirl: First Look at Babs’ Suit!

Hey everyone! It’s been a bit slow around the SeppinRek offices this month, but we wanted to throw up a quick post since the Batgirl film just released our first look at Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl suit. The suit itself takes inspiration from Batgirl volume one: The Batgirl of Burnside by Brendan Fletcher, Cameron Stewart, Maris Wicks, and Babs Tarr. It was released late yesterday by Leslie Grace herself with quote from Batgirl Year One from Scott Beatty and Chuck Dixon.

It seems to be pretty accurate to this iteration of Batgirl suit, so it is likely that the writer Christina Hodson likely took some inspiration from this book for the film’s story.

We will admit that it wasn’t our first choice for Batgirl’s suit. We were hoping for something more akin to Gail Simone’s run of the character, but this might just be a starting-out costume for Gotham’s heroine.

It seems like new images from the set keep getting leaked everyday and we’ll likely be back with more news in the coming week!
