For our top five Tuesday we are amending it today for a top seven with three additional dishonorable mentions.
Yes, it is sad that there are that many bad comic book movie adaptations.
Let’s get right into it!
7. Green Lantern
The only word we can come up with is…disappointment. It should have worked. Ryan Reynolds was a good choice, but the script was not acceptable in any way, shape, or form. If it would have had good CGI then it might have had a chance.
Rek: For those of you that don’t know what CGI is, Seppin will give you a quick lesson.
Seppin: Computer generation.
Rek: Thanks for that lovely analysis. Now back to our program…
6. Daredevil
Seppin: Sorry about Ben Affleck. It just wasn’t his role. The movie was trash even for it’s time.
Rek: If you look past all the cheese factor and the Marvel cinematic interpretation, it’s an ‘alright’ movie.
Seppin: It really isn’t. Rek is just a huge Daredevil fan so he’s not going to soil the name too much.
5. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Seppin: I actually kinda enjoyed the first Fantastic Four movie and then they threw it down the drain by making Silver Surfer in the second movie. Silver Surfer really deserves his own movie and they made Galactus a giant cloud from space that wanted to devour the world. Galactus is supposed to be a cosmic entity.
But it did give us Chris Evans…Captain America.
Rek: I’m surprised that they actually released this movie or that Marvel let them. It’s just not good.
4. Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance
Seppin: Let’s start off by stating the obvious, this movie was poorly advertised. I didn’t know it existed until a few months ago. Wooh…Nicolas Cage. His acting was terrible and the person that I liked the most, Idris Elba, died. This movie really needed Blade for it to be done properly and according to the comics.
Rek: You’re gonna crap thunder and pee lightening…(Rocky reference)
Yes, that actually happened. He peed fire.
This movie was bad. On a Rek’s scale of 1-10, it’s a three and I’m being generous.
3. Batman and Robin
Seppin: I want everyone to know that I fought for this not to be on number one or two, but that Bat credit card though..
It was trash. It actually insulted the comics. I mean, on paper, it sounds like a good concept. Just look at our featured image of George Clooney’s Bat Suit. It has nipples…really? The cape looks like it was made by Glad trash bags and his giant head on his skintight suited body just looks wrong. Also the Bat symbol…who designed that?
Rek: “What killed the the dinosaurs or their careers?”
This movie.
Arnold as Mr.Freeze was…
Seppin: At the time he was the best choice.
Rek: No. I would be alright with anyone, but Arnold.
Seppin: He’s supposed to be stone cold.
Rek: Then I would have preferred Stone Cold Steve Austin.
2. Howard the Duck
Rek: I’ve only watched a fourth of this movie, but it wasn’t good. Steven Spielberg must have just used the leftover pieces from E.T. to make this movie because it was just garbage. They tried to go for a more adult audience, but you just can’t do that and still use puppets.
Seppin: I’ve never seen it so I can’t comment, but I do know that I will never watch that garbage even if Howard the Duck was briefly shown in Guardians of the Galaxy.
1. Cat Woman
Seppin: Oh my God. The worst interpretation of the character. It wasn’t even Cat Woman per say.
Rek: Not well acted.
Seppin: And Halle Berry…really?
Rek: Go back to being Storm and stay with X-Men.
Dishonorable Mentions
1. Steel
Who thought the casting of Shaq would be a good idea?
2. X-Men Last Stand
Just when you thought they couldn’t get any more inaccurate…
3. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Wolverine should not have had this origin story and we suspect they won’t do one ever again.
Next week’s top Five Tuesday will feature our best comic book movies ever made and I have a feeling we’re going to disagree.

I agree with the majority of these, especially for Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance. I had more luck watching the first Expendables than that film.
