Hey everyone! Comic Con has started and with it comes a whole lot of awesome trailers, posters, and announcements for us to enjoy. Warner Brothers animation has just recently announced three upcoming DC projects which all sound pretty awesome.
They first announced the long rumored Superman: Red Son animated film. It will follow the format of the Elseworlds story by Mark Millar which asked the question ‘What if Superman had been raised in the Soviet Union?’ Gary Miereanu, WB publicist, said that the film is aiming for a 2020 release date, likely in the spring.
Next, they announce a sequel to their 2017 film, Justice League Dark. This movie is called, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. Awesome to see our favorite mystical characters back, but why Apokolips? Desaad, perhaps? Not much else is known about the film other than its release date is speculated for later in that same spring 2020.
Lastly, the team revealed an original DC animated film premiering that summer called, Superman: Man of Tomorrow. Seppin is super happy that all of these Superman animated films are starting to pop up after the amazing Death of Superman movie. Needless to say, it’s about damn time the big blue boy scout got his due!
What do you guys think about these new animated films? Are you excited for more Superman? More Justice League Dark? Tell us in the comments below! Until next time…
